Intro
Bayern Munich and Aston Villa have their match fixed in the city of Hong Kong this Friday, the two teams will be wrapping up their pre-season tours in Asia. It is a friendly match that will be played at the Kai Tak Stadium, but the match carries more importance than the word friendly implies.
Bayern will use this match to train their defence to build toward another Bundesliga title race, while Aston Villa have their focus on a much tougher match ahead of them which is the UEFA Super Cup which is against Paris Saint-Germain just days after this match.
Match Preview
Aston Villa have played very well on their tour so far. They team was able to win against Indonesia All-Stars and also win against the BG Pathum United, both by 3-1. Coach Unai Emery has been rotating his players in recent matches a lot. His plan is to make the team fit, and not just winning games only. It was very nice to see player Boubacar Kamara score a goal in his first game after returning to the team after he recovered from injury.
In the previous football match season, The Aston Villa squad played their best and very well. The team were able to win the Europa League cup and they also came fourth in the Premier League tournament as well. Since then, the team has had different players signed into the squad.
New players like Garnacho, Gomes, and Manzambi have also joined the squad. This game against Bayern is going to be of help to Aston Villa helping them to get ready for their big match which will be against PSG.
Bayern Munich have an advantage here as the better team, but they have not beaten Villa before. They have lost before they lost to Aston Villa before, and it also includes a game in the Champions League title race. Friday’s game will not be all that serious as it is not really important, though. It is mainly about getting Bayern’s players fit again for the title race that will be starting soon.
Their pre-season has not been consistent so far. They lost to Wiesbaden, then won 15-0 against a small team that is called Rottach-Egern. The team has also beaten Jeju in Asia. More Bayern football players are returning back to the training ground now. They have two more practical matches before they actually play against Borussia Dortmund on August 22.

Team News
Aston Villa have some bad injury news. A player like Captain John McGinn was out with a knee from the last game. Johan Manzambi and Amadou Onana are also injured as well.
The good news is that Kamara is back playing for the team again. New player Joao Gomes is a great player in the midfield. Young striker Brian Madjo has scored four goals in total this warm up period. He is likely going to be in the starting lineup for the game. Some players are still not available yet because of the just concluded World Cup. These are Watkins, Konsa, Digne, and Martinez.
Bayern should make use of stronger players and not the ones who played against Jeju. But some big players are yet not fully back. Harry Kane, Olise, and Upamecano are still resting after they participated in the World Cup. Karl, Gnabry, and Musiala are not yet back either. Davies and the new player Saibari that was signed into the team remained at Munich. The two players are working on their fitness.
